Toddler Room

Once a child is steady on their feet and is well co-ordinated they will transition in to the toddler room. We do not put a time frame on this as each child develops differently so we only move them when they are ready.

In the toddler room we use visual, physical and audio educations resources to stimulate the children and they have structured periods of play and sleep time.

We introduce more advanced equipment, arts and crafts and a daily schedule of activities as the child develops. Children are offered creative learning activities such as drawing, painting, sand/water play, puzzles, books and music. They partake in messy play, gardening and cooking activities to mention just a few.

Their vocabulary will increase and they will soon be able to form simple sentences. During their time in the toddler room we will work with parents to toilet train your child when the time is right.

We provide parents with daily reports detailing all nutrition, sleep period, nappy changing (or toilet activity), play and learning activities, behaviour and any necessary medical administration.
