Sessional Preschool Care<\/span><\/h2>\n

[vc_column_text]Our Sessional Preschool Room is all about encouraging independence, confidence, and a love for learning as children prepare for the next big step\u2014starting school. Designed for children aged\u00a0approximately 3\u00a0to 5 years, our environment is rich in learning opportunities while still being fun, nurturing, and\u00a0child-led. Our sessional class runs from 8.45am to 11.45am, 38 weeks of the year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0maintain\u00a0a\u00a0child-to-staff ratio of 1:11, ensuring that each child receives plenty of individual attention and support. Our qualified and experienced team works to create a\u00a0balance between guided activities and free play, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We continue to follow the\u00a0Key Person Approach, meaning each child has a dedicated key worker who builds a close, supportive relationship with them. This helps children feel safe and confident to explore, ask questions, and express themselves.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our daily routine includes a variety of play-based learning experiences across all areas of development. These include early literacy and numeracy, science and discovery, arts and crafts, role play, music and movement, and small and large group activities. All activities are tailored to children’s interests and developmental levels, in line with the Aistear curriculum framework.\u00a0Children\u00a0are encouraged to become more\u00a0independent\u00a0and we support\u00a0children and help them learn how to share, take turns, and build strong friendships.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our\u00a0outdoor play area\u00a0is an extension of the classroom, where children can run, climb, dig, ride bikes, and engage in nature-based learning. Outdoor play is a daily part of our routine, no matter the season.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We use the\u00a0Child Paths app\u00a0to keep parents connected throughout the day, sharing photos, updates, and observations about your child\u2019s learning journey and milestones.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We understand that the preschool years are a crucial time for development, and we are committed to making these years happy, enriching, and full of positive memories. Our goal is to help every child feel confident and well-prepared for their transition into primary school\u2014while still having plenty of fun along the way!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div>
