The scheme provides financial support through both <strong data-start=\"332\" data-end=\"345\">universal<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"369\">income-assessed<\/strong> subsidies, which are paid directly to registered childcare providers, reducing the cost of childcare for parents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"892\">The <strong data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"510\">universal subsidy<\/strong> is available to all families with children aged from 24 weeks to 15 years who are attending a registered childcare service. This subsidy is currently <strong data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"679\">\u20ac2.14 per hour<\/strong>, for up to 45 hours per week, regardless of family income.
