Our Voluntary Management Committee

Our service is guided by a dedicated Voluntary Management Committee, which plays a vital role in ensuring that our childcare setting runs smoothly and continues to meet the needs of children, families, and the wider community. The committee is responsible for ensuring that we provide the highest quality care and education.  Working alongside management to make key decisions related to the management, development, and overall direction of our service.

Who’s on the Committee?
The committee is made up of parents and representatives from the local community who bring a wide range of skills, experience, and perspectives. By working together with our centre and childcare managers, they ensure that our service reflects the values and priorities of the families we serve.

Meetings and Membership

• The committee meets six times per year to review progress, discuss important issues, and plan for the future.

• Annual General Meeting (AGM): Held once a year, where officers are elected and new members can be appointed to the committee. In line with our governance our AGM’s will be advertised each year.

• Open Membership: Any parent or community member with an interest in the development and well-being of our service is welcome to join. We value fresh ideas, diverse voices, and a shared commitment to making our childcare setting the best it can be.
